Halingo and the convention of 1 August 2024

This article sets out the changes made in the software following the convention of 1 August 2024. The conventie is the multi-year tariff agreement published by RIZIV/INAMI, the Belgian national health insurance institute.

1. Documenting an extension

Except for disorders caused by cleft lip, cleft palate or cleft alveolus and for Locked-in Syndrome, the standard bracket for an extension is set to 2 years automatically. A manual adjustment is no longer needed.

2. Evaluation session with nomenclature codes 700991 and 701002

You select the new evaluation session in the calendar through the appointment type, for patients with an existing initial assessment. Depending on the therapy location you choose, ambulatory or hospitalisation, Halingo translates this into nomenclature code 700991 or 701002 on the medical certificate.

3. New reimbursement request and extension forms

You generate the updated request forms, in force since 1 August 2024, through the document section of the initial assessment. You reach it through the reimbursement tab, not the documents tab.

4. No more reimbursement for patients aged 18 and over for language development disorders, dyslexia, dysorthography, dyscalculia and dysphasia

When you create an appointment, you get the following error message for this. The full amount is then booked as remgeld, the patient co-payment.

5. Provisional release

The interface elements for the evaluation report and the relapse report are still visible in the software for now. We will phase them out in one of the coming releases.
