Difference between total reimbursement sessions and the number of appointments in the patient file

Halingo shows a session count in two places: in the reimbursement panel and in the patient file overview. The two figures are calculated differently, so they are not the same.

Sessions used and sessions in Halingo

Sessions in Halingo is the number of sessions registered in Halingo as appointments. A session always counts as 30 minutes here, and only sessions with reimbursement are included.

Sessions used is an input field for sessions that were not registered in Halingo. If your patient had 14 sessions at another practice, you enter that here. The same goes for appointments from before you started with Halingo.

The sum of those two fields is the total number of reimbursement sessions already used.

Total number of sessions is the input field for the maximum number of sessions inside the container. You can change it at any time. By default Halingo takes the number of sessions set by the convention in force, the RIZIV/INAMI tariff agreement (RIZIV/INAMI is the Belgian national health insurance institute).

Number of appointments

This field is informational and shows the total number of appointments. A one-hour appointment counts as 1 appointment here, not as 2 sessions the way it does under sessions in Halingo. Appointments without reimbursement are counted here as well.
